Andrianna’s Poem

When I looked at the orange burnt sky where twilight meets the horizon.

The paradox is far more complex as the story unfolds.

Where the dawn awakens within is.

Being in love with a stranger one can assimilate the familiarity like writing the novel  itself.

Crossing the desert surrounded by stretches of foreign land our eyes are blinded by dust blown from the sandstorms.

Fatigue takes our strength and starts to play on our thoughts with hallucinated images of an oasis.

The calm waters wraps around our heart, like a security blanket we held as a child.

The clouds will pass, tomorrow will bring a blue sky.

The chocolate sunset of dusk with rays of light filled comfort.

BURNT ORANGE SKY

LOVE

THE CHOCOLATE HORIZON  Many thanks to a great author Michael Ondaatje who inspired my poem.

Further references on his award winning book The English Patient and in Plato’s timeless Symposium for my passion of philosophy.

…and of course to Ayca for making our toffee sugared sweet chocolate heart photo look divine!
